As a Kids Team Member, you will play a vital role working with the Kids Team Leader to create a nurturing and engaging environment for primary school aged children attending our church services and events. Your dedication to providing a positive and impactful experience for young attendees will contribute to their spiritual growth and sense of belonging.
*Please note this role necessitates a PVG (Police Vulnerable Sector Check) certificate.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities, lessons, and programs for children.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere where children feel valued and cared for.
- Engage in meaningful interactions with children, building positive relationships and encouraging their curiosity.
- Guide children in understanding and exploring faith-based concepts through stories, discussions, and interactive activities.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed at all times, including sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Collaborate with fellow Kids Team Members to coordinate activities and maintain a structured schedule.
- Support children with diverse needs and provide appropriate accommodations as necessary.
- Assist in setting up and organizing materials, supplies, and resources for children’s programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed about curriculum, safety, and church policies.

- Prior experience in childcare, teaching, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
